Ribbon Dancer

I've always had a sort of interest with occasionally trying to capture flowy dynamic movement in drawings. When I ran across ~Faizah's Desert Rose series, recently I couldn't help but experiement with something similar. Of course, he's a heck of a lot better than me in all aspects, but hey, us mortals have to start somewhere.

While I didn't quite capture the dynamic movement aspect as well as I wanted to (she still looks stiff and unmoving to me), at least I think I got the flowy part down. I'm pretty happy with the general sense of motion in the piece as a whole. And the hair... I'm not very good at drawing long hair but it turned out pretty well this time!

Unfortunately, I'm very bad at drawing females, and despite my best efforts, she still looks a lot like a guy for some reason. Yet another thing I have to work on a lot more in the future.
