This is the first pumpkin I've carved since I was 1 foot tall and all they let you do is hollow out the pumpkin in school, so I'm actually pretty proud of it; especially since it was done with a ginormous, thick kitchen knife taller than the pumpkin itself (and a toothpick, which I did about half the pumpkin with by repeatedly poking holes into it until I could kind of scrape away the remaining mush). Getting to carve a pumpkin was insanely fun.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make up my own image (I originally was playing around with a cheshire cat thingy), so I stole a stencil from the Wildlife Wrestling Foundation.

Sorry for the bad quality of the photo. I don't have a digital camera, so I had to use my cell phone.

Time to completion: ~4 hours

A coworker actually bought me a pumpkin carving kit that I used on the koi pumpkin from last year, so I only need to use a knife for the top now. It's much easier using the cute tiny little saw they give you!

Pffft. I'm probably at least ten or twenty years older than you and I still do it! =p

My parents didn't really celebrate Halloween, though, so I'm just making up for it. But I still think it's fun. You're never too old for silly fun things!

I know. I'm all ancient. I should start poking you with a cane and saying stuff like, "In my day, we had to walk uphill both ways in the snow to school, and we LIKED it!" Never did get to do much trick or treating either. And unfortunately, I'm not allowed to anymore since people get mad if you're not a kid and you ask for candy. :(

I can't even clearly remember ever getting a chance to carve a pumpkin.

I'm really impressed with the tiger, though. O.o To have such patience...
