Tirandra Map by ShadowCheetah
Tirandra Map
This is the official map for the continent of Tirandra, where my homebrew D&D campaign takes place. After a considerable amount of confusion regarding geography during our last session, I decided to finally get around to making this. Considering it's my first real attempt at hand-drawn cartography that has more than a bunch of crudely drawn circles, I'm really quite pleased!

The full map is about 5000 x 5000 pixels and allows you to zoom all the way in to detailed region maps.

As a side note, I am terrible with making up names. Way at the beginning, I shamelessly ripped off of a bunch of random sources when names of various places had to get pulled from thin air. If you're well read in fantasy, or play a lot of old fantasy games, half the names will probably sound pretty familiar. :3
I Got This by ShadowCheetah
I Got This
This is a birthday gift for Kairo, depicting his character in an unexpectedly epic scene that happened in my D&D campaign, during a session entitled "Drag'n Drop."

While the party was split, two of the characters traveled through a dangerous swamp and stayed the night in a lizardman city. They were woken by a thundering roar that shook everything around them. Since I took the sound effect straight from Skyrim, both players immediately recognized the sound. Dragon!

Being only level 5, they freaked out, ran outside, and joined the rest of the terrified city in discovering not one, but two dragons soaring above them. Thankfully, instead of burninating the villagers, they were focused on fighting each other. Unfortunately, they were still right above everyone's heads. The inhabitants ran for cover as tiny, sizzling droplets from corrosive acid breath drifted down from above.

Eventually, one of the dragons managed to poison the other. This just happened to occur while they were almost directly above the two PCs, resulting in a full-sized green dragon plummeting directly towards them and their precious wagon, which contained all the substantial treasure they'd gathered throughout the campaign.

Then, Gavin, Kairo's raven mage, had this incredible shining moment of awesome when he was like, "I got this," stepped outside, and used a wand of gaseous form on the dragon as it fell directly at him. This turned the dragon into a giant cloud of mist that exploded into the ground, then reformed nearby, leaving them, their possessions, and the dragon (which turned out to be a good one) completely unharmed.

I've been trying to keep myself drawing consistently and regularly for a while now. So far so good. Usually, I get 2 or more drawings a week that are of good enough quality that I'm at least willing to embarrass myself by posting them here. Generally, thanks to many of the awesome people I talk to, I have no lack of silly ideas (along with my own occasion original ideas... which really do happen now and then by accident), but when I ran into this challenge, I couldn't help but think it'd be insanely fun to try, and it'd definitely be a cool accomplishment to actually succeed in.

The challenge is pretty simple. You have to draw a picture for each of 100 themes. So far, I've only done one of them ("Introduction"). Of course, since I don't have a scanner, it won't show up till sometime next week, so the main reason I'm posting this is so that everyone knows I'm doing it, and I won't be able to chicken out.

Right now, I'm sort of already stuck on #2 though. I mean, who the heck chooses "Love" as the second one. You do the first and you think, "Hey, that was easy! I'm on a roll. This is fun!" Then WHAM. They hit you with that. How on earth do you describe what love is in a single picture?

Anyway, the following is a list of all 100 themes. I'll check them off as I post them.

Someone else who does parkour! How long you been training? Or doing parkour? Its a passion of mine, I love it.

Not as long as I'd like! I think I've only been at it for maybe a bit more than a year of dedicated time, which is subtracting out all the times the rest of life got in the way. Even when I don't have time to condition and train, I've at least reached the point where everywhere I go, I'm automatically trying to figure out interesting ways to get to various points around/above/below me and I rarely go around walls anymore, so I guess that's something. ^^

Great to meet another traceur! How long have you been at it?

Heh, well thanks a lot! That's really kind of you. Which makes me feel a little bad because if you're meaning the "shall not be mourned" thing, it was mostly just a game reference to Portal, which the drawing was based around.

All the same, I really do appreciate it. :)
